| ah, life. since everyone i was talking to on aim left to go to homework
(which i seriously should have joined them in doing), i decided to
continue my procrastination here. i am in such denial. denial of SAT
studying, of college apps, of homework. almost even of sleep,
considering i have been staying up on the phone into the wee hours of
morn. it's bad. really. i need to stop. i am acting like a second
semester senior already, when i havent even been accepted to college
yet. let alone even finished my fucking sat IIs. OK enough complaining.
my academic life right now is basically a hell hole, juxtaposed to my social life. steph's xanga has covered a couple of major
activities in my recent life, although it doesn't touch on the fact
that i was kind of dating two people at once. we will skip over that
long and burdensome story. it has resolved itself, but
complicated homecoming plans in the process.
i was exhausted/achy/crampy/bloated today, so i decided to skip school
and sleep. i also read on my hammock outside, which was amazing. i made
tea for myself and took a nice, long bath. i really needed that.
anyhow, i really need to
get on top of all my academic shit now, and it should be sooner rather
than
later. ciao, bellas.

| xangas are slowly dying as facebooks and myspaces consume us. i must
admit, i have fallen victim to this cosumption, but i feel like posting
here for some reason or another. perhaps because you can't really post
thoughts on either of the abovementioned consumers. well you CAN but no
one does. nor do they read them. i remember back in freshman year
when people used to update their xangas almost religiously...crazy. it
kind of reminds me of vallco, where i spent a lot of my childhood in
the downstairs limited too and claire's accessories. now, however, it
is a vacant construction structure. this might be my last entry,
though, considering i'm kind of just writing to myself.
anyhow, i had a very eventful labor day weekend. it was weird because
despite there being a ton of drama (mainly boy drama, but some friend
drama), i still had an amazingly fun time. one of the highlights was
bellydancing, its contender being taking caltrain up north, as well as
half moon beaching. oh, and i also got an incredibly random phone call
last night. i couldn't exactly tell if it was a prank or not, since it
sounded SO MUCH like someone i would know...yet i couldn't place the
name. basically a bubbly, talkative girl.
steve irwin died today.
well, i am at last off to bed. ta-ta, chaps.

| now i don't normally swear, but.... WHAT THE FUCK?
allow me to elaborate:
last week. i order 2 tickets for the john mayer and sheryl crow concert
for my mom's bday. they are 5th row center seats. very, very
expensive. i arrive home from my last day of work. the fed ex
package is on the doorstep. i am excited. i bring it inside. the
package has been slashed. there are no tickets inside. i am no longer
excited.
who goes stealing fed ex packages off of people's doorsteps in LOS ALTOS?
our tickets aren't guarenteed to be replaced, but we are guarenteed
"admittance to the concert." even if they WERE replaced, how will we
prove that we're the rightful owners? a police report sure doesn't sound like fun.
shit.

| I have re-emerged from the land of pine needles, bears, and hail storms!
(and I'm updating at work! )
So basically Yosemite was amazing. Beautiful scenery, fun people, interesting work One of those experiences that when you leave, you feel like it had all happened years ago and when you try to explain it to someone, it ends up just sounding like a string of adjectives, nouns, and verbs. I now have an extended family.

I just got my second paycheck! I had been planning on spending exactly $100 (10 itunes CDs, featuring Jack Johnson's "On and On" and "The Best of Simon and Garfunkel"), and that is exactly what I did. I feel very satisfied.
I feel like I haven't seen MVHS people in ages. I really need to change that.
EDIT:
Ick and college apps are out...noooo! I still haven't decided where I'm applying early to...I'm thinking Brown right now because of its great neuroscience dept. My iffy list right now:
Reaches: Yale, Brown
Targets: Cornell, Pomona, Johns Hopkins
Back-ups: UCB, UCLA, UCSD | | |
